Girls' Generation is a girl group launched by SM Entertainment, whose current lineup is Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona and Seohyun. They first performed on August 5, 2007 with the single "Into the New World". Their 2009 hit "Gee" held the top spot on KBS Music Bank for nine straight weeks, and "I Got a Boy" was named Video of the Year at the first YouTube Music Awards in 2013. After years of mostly solo activity, all eight reunited in 2022 for the 15th-anniversary album Forever 1.
