Kep1er is a girl group put together through Mnet's 2021 survival show Girls Planet 999, now co-managed by WakeOne and Klap Entertainment. The original nine-member line-up debuted on January 3, 2022 with the EP First Impact, led by the single "Wa Da Da"; the EP went to number one on the Gaon Album Chart. Later that year their Japanese debut single "Fly-Up" reached number two on the Oricon Singles Chart, and they won Favorite New Artist at the 2022 MAMA Awards. Following line-up changes in 2024 and 2026, the group continues as six members: Yujin, Xiaoting, Chaehyun, Dayeon, Hikaru and Bahiyyih.
